Financing That Fits, a Warranty That Transfers

A wet basement rarely waits for a convenient year. Every project we quote can be financed from 0%, with nothing due until the work is finished, and everything we build is covered by a warranty that follows the house. Before you sign anything, with us or anyone else, get the scope, the price and the payment schedule in writing, and see what the work actually costs here first.

Payment Plans

Three Ways to Pay for It

Soft-pull pre-qualification takes about two minutes and does not touch your credit score. Figures below are illustrative, your actual rate depends on the lender's decision.

Pre-Qualify

10-Year Fixed

9.49% APR

Longest term, lowest monthly payment.

Example payment
$40,000 project ≈ $515/month

Before the Monthly Figure

5 Things That Set the Number You Finance

A payment plan spreads a price, it does not explain one. These 5 items decide the principal on an Akron job, in the order they matter. All 5 are measured at the free inspection and written on the quote as separate lines.

Linear feet of wall treated

Interior drainage runs $68 to $92 per linear foot ($223 to $302 per meter). Two wet walls on a 26-foot by 34-foot basement is roughly 60 feet, not the full 120.

How the crew gets in and out

A walk-out door keeps the price at the bottom of the range. A 30-inch stairwell with a turn adds 10% to 18%, because every bucket of spoil and bag of stone moves by hand.

Pump duty and backup

A single 1/3 hp pump with a battery backup covers most Akron homes. A high water table in North Hill can need twin pumps on separate circuits, which adds $850 to $1,400.

Where the water is sent

A short gravity run to daylight costs almost nothing. A buried line to the street, or a pop-up emitter set below the frost line, adds $600 to $2,200 depending on the yard.

Putting the room back

Bare block and slab needs nothing. Studs, insulation and drywall we have to cut back and rebuild adds $1,100 to $3,600, and we quote it as a separate line so you can do it yourself.

Full pricing for every service, with the ranges broken down line by line, is published in our Akron waterproofing cost guide .

The Application

From Pre-Qualification to First Payment

Four steps, and the order matters. Any contractor who wants you pre-qualified before anyone has measured your basement is selling a payment, not a repair.
1

Get the scope first

Financing comes after the free inspection, never before it. You cannot sensibly borrow against a number nobody has measured yet.

2

Soft-pull pre-qualification, 2 minutes

You submit name, address and income to the lender portal on our tablet or your own phone. This is a soft inquiry and does not touch your score.

3

Pick the term, not the payment

You see every offer the lender returns, side by side, with the total cost of each. We do not receive a fee for steering you to a longer term, and we will say which one we would take.

4

First payment 30 days after completion

Nothing is due when you sign, and nothing is due while the crew is working. The lender funds us on completion, and your first payment lands about 30 days after your final walkthrough.

The Other Column

A Monthly Payment Against the Cost of Waiting

Every figure below is what Akron homeowners actually pay, and the first 4 lines are what a wet basement costs when nobody fixes the cause. Read them next to the last line.
  • Mold remediation on a finished basement Standard homeowner policies exclude gradual seepage, so this usually lands on you.
    $2,200 to $6,800
  • Replacing wet drywall, trim and flooring Materials plus labor on a 700 square foot finished basement, once.
    $4,500 to $14,000
  • Joist and sill plate repair after long-term damp Wood-decay fungi need moisture and time. Remove the moisture and the clock stops.
    $1,850 upward
  • Price knocked off at closing for a wet basement Ohio sellers must disclose known water intrusion. Buyers price the unknown high.
    $5,000 to $20,000
  • Waterproofing 2 walls on a 7-year plan Fixed price, lifetime transferable warranty, and the problem stops today.
    About $280 a month

Mold needs moisture, and moisture is the part we remove. The health side of that is covered by the EPA guidance on mold and moisture (opens in a new tab) rather than by us.

The Guarantee

What Our Warranty Actually Covers

Written in plain language on the quote you sign, not buried in a separate document that turns up after the check clears.

Lifetime transferable, basement waterproofing

Covers water entry through the treated area, labor and materials both. Transfers once to the next owner at no cost.

25 years, crawl space liner

Manufacturer material warranty on the 20-mil reinforced liner, plus our workmanship guarantee on every seal and termination.

10 years, crawl space structural work

Joists, girders, sill plates and support piers. We re-level free of charge if a supported span moves inside the term.

Lifetime, basement crack repair

If an injected crack ever leaks again along the same line, we come back and reinject it at no charge.

Lifetime, foundation repair hardware

Carbon fiber straps and wall anchors are covered for as long as you own the house. We re-measure the wall free of charge if you ever think it has moved again.

5 Things the Warranty Does Not Cover

A warranty is defined by its exclusions, so ours are published here instead of appearing at claim time. Every one of these is a claim we have genuinely had to decline, and 3 of the 5 are avoidable by calling us first. The full certificate wording is handed over at your final walkthrough, described stage by stage on the process page .

  • Water arriving somewhere we did not treat

Treat 2 walls and the other 2 are not covered. The certificate names the exact elevations, which is why we recommend full perimeter when the diagnosis supports it.

  • Plumbing failures and appliance floods

A burst supply line, a failed water heater or a backed-up sewer lateral is not groundwater. Those belong to your insurer or a plumber, and we will say so honestly.

  • A pump nobody maintained

Coverage continues while the annual check happens, and it is free. Miss it for 4 years, let the pit silt up, and a burnt-out pump is a service call rather than a claim.

  • Discharge lines blocked by ice or debris

Freezing at the outlet is a maintenance item and we show you how to clear it at the walkthrough. Do not extend or bury the line yourself without telling us.

  • Someone cutting into the system

A finishing contractor screwing through the wall membrane, or a new patio slab poured over the discharge, voids that section. Call us first and we will mark it out for free.

Small Print, Plainly

Financing & Warranty Questions

The pre-qualification is a soft pull and does not affect your score. Only if you accept an offer and proceed does a hard inquiry occur.

No. These are unsecured home improvement loans, not equity products. There is no lien on your property and no appraisal required.

Roughly 30 days after the project is completed and signed off, not when you sign the proposal. Nothing is due before work begins.

Yes, on every plan we offer, with no prepayment penalty. On the 18-month 0% plan, clearing the balance inside the promotional window is the whole point, and the lender applies deferred interest in full if you miss it by a month.

Set the payment yourself rather than accepting the minimum, if you are taking the 0% option. The minimum payment on a deferred-interest plan is not sized to clear the balance in time.

No, almost never. Standard Ohio homeowner policies exclude gradual water intrusion through the foundation, which is exactly what waterproofing fixes. Sudden events such as a burst pipe are a different matter and are usually covered.

Read your policy for the words "seepage" and "surface water" before you call your agent. Fixing the cause is what removes the exposure, and it is also what a buyer asks about later.

Partly, on crawl space work rather than on drainage. Sealing and insulating a vented crawl space cuts the load on a furnace measurably, and the reasoning behind that is set out in the Department of Energy's Energy Saver guidance.

Drainage does not save energy, it prevents damage. We would rather say that than put a payback number on a system whose job is to stop a $14,000 rebuild.

Yes, once, at no cost. You submit a short transfer form at closing and the new owner is covered on the same terms. Buyers and home inspectors ask about this constantly, it removes a negotiating point that can otherwise cost you thousands at the table.
